Life is What We Make It
“Therefore, how can you and I really expect to glide naively through life, as if to say, ‘Lord, give me experience, but not grief, not sorrow, not pain, not opposition, not betrayal, and certainly not to be forsaken. Keep from me, Lord, all those experiences which made Thee what Thou art! Then let me come and dwell with Thee and fully share Thy joy!’ …
“Real faith … is required to endure this necessary but painful developmental process.”
Elder Neal A. Maxwell (1926–2004) of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, “Lest Ye Be Wearied and Faint in Your Minds,” Ensign, May 1991, 88, 90.
This quote is definitely a wake up call for me. It's like, "Buck up!" This - is - life. We all have to experience tough times to enjoy the good. So just deal with the tough times, keep pushing foward, have faith and hope, and endure to the end.
Find the joy in your life right now. Because it's there even though it's hard to see sometimes. We make the mistake that our happiness lies in the future...once we get through these hard times. Life is what we make it. So make yours a joyful one!

General Conference Booklet
Okay, so I know you adults were feeling left out, so here is a General Conference Booklet for you! I found it at LDS About.com.
Also, Give LDS Gifts and Mormon Mamma have some great ideas on some conference traditions. Enjoy!

General Conference Activity Packets
General Conference is fast approaching and I've found 3 different, and DARLING, activity packets for children. Here they are:
1. Melanie from SugarDoodle.net
2. earl-girl8086
3. The Ellis Family (click on the link in her blog post)
Also, Tasha from SugarDoodle.net made a packet from 2008 that would be great for the younger kids - it's mostly full of pictures to color, so would work for this year as well. Just modify the dates on the cover.
These packets are also summarized a bit more at Give LDS Gifts.
These look so fun it makes me want to have my own! Maybe I will...
A challenge for the adults: take your worries and your questions and write them down. As you watch conference, your questions will be answered. ONE BY ONE.
Enjoy conference Saturday, April 4 and Sunday April 5.
